SUMMER SOLSTICE

Sunday, June 21st 2009 is the first OFFICIAL day of summer! Today is also called 'summer solstice.' It's an astronomical event that happens twice a year; the first day of summer, and the first day of winter. Today is known to be the actual longest day of the year due to the rotation of the sun... Even though the weather has been beautiful and it felt as if summer has already begun, once again, today it is safe to say that summer is officially here. This is the day that society has labelled the first day of summer. So mark this one down in the books & ENJOY IT! Summer 09!
